The Apothecarium, founded in 2011, is a full-service medical and recreational cannabis dispensary with 4 locations in California, 6 locations in Pennsylvania, 4 locations in Maryland, and 3 locations in New Jersey. Our next General Manager (GM) is responsible for effective performance management and execution of retail operations including merchandising, staffing, and patient order fulfillment processes. The GM works closely with the Assistant General Managers to drive successful business management and financial performance of the dispensary.


To Be Blunt

You will be challenged to work strategically and tactically to do ensure our dispensary offers the best-in-class patient experience.

One minute you will be analyzing your dispensary’s P&L and financial reporting for an upcoming meeting

The next minute managing a delivery and auditing the store’s inventory levels

And the next minute partnering with the marketing team to ensure you’re running the right promotions based on patient feedback and sell through of products

Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work within and manage a diverse team in the organization.


Where you’ll be planted

This position will be on-site in our Allentown, PA dispensary. Our hours of operation are Mon - Sat: 9AM–8PM, Sun: 11AM–5PMThis role will require availability during nights, weekends, and some holidays.

We value diverse skillsets, talents, and experiences.  To be successful in this role we know you’ll need: 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or other service industry with responsibility for financial results
  • Cannabis experience highly preferred
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills; empathy and understanding of your team; servant-leadership experience
  • Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability
  • Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture
