Test Automation Engineer Job Description
Location: Bucharest, Romania

Kalypso is seeking exceptional candidates who are looking for an exciting career as a Test Automation Engineer.

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will solve challenging issues by performing and participating in application testing to apply end-to-end continuous quality and testability of code throughout the software development lifecycle.

The work is fast-paced, demanding, and provides unparalleled exposure to unique opportunities. The learning curve can be quite steep at times, but our team will help you develop a broad set of skills and enable you to explore areas that are of interest to you.

In this role, you will:

Perform regression, smoke, and ad-hoc testing on new and existing features
Write and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Integrate automated test suites with continuous integration (CI) tools, Jenkins & Azure DevOps Test Manager, for frequent automated execution
Record & report defects and errors with clear detailed description to development teams

You Should Have:

2+ years automated test execution and reporting
2+ years enterprise application testing
1+ years automated test development, Selenium, Katalon, TestComplete, Junit, Nunit
Experience with system, unit, regression, integration, UAT testing
Working knowledge of version control systems such as GIT & SVN
Ability to debug and troubleshoot application issues
Working understanding of Java & Python
Basic knowledge of API validation
Experience with defect tracking tools like Azure DevOps, Jira
Experience with Linux & Windows Operating Systems
Experience with scripting languages, Groovy, Ruby, Python, Bash/CSH/SH
Experience with Agile methodology

Even Better If You Have:

Worked to identify and recommend leading practices for quality assurance for all facets of ALM within Agile development community
Driven quality assurance improvements initiatives based on business need
Participated in the development of DevOps leading practices implementing CI/CD
Experience with API tools such as PostMan, Swagger, SoapUI
Developed frameworks for testing that exercises non-user interface (UI) components like application program interfaces (API's), representational state transfer API (RESTful API), and web services
Development experience using Java, Python

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree - Software Engineering, Information Systems or other Technical degrees
Minimum 4+ Years Relevant Experience - Professional experience with software testing, coding, designing, and developing
