Data Science Analyst Job Description
Location: Bucharest, Romania (European Innovation Center)

As a Data Science Analyst, you will help our clients apply leading data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques to challenging business problems, all while becoming proficient in the most highly valued technological skillset in the global marketplace.Our work is fast-paced, demanding, and provides unparalleled exposure to unique opportunities. The learning curve can be quite steep, but our team will help you build confidence and enable you to explore areas that are of interest to you. In this role, you will help design, develop, and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing, High Tech, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, and Retail.
Main Responsibilities
No two days are exactly the same in our dynamic environment, nevertheless, below is a list of responsibilities you will be accountable for:
- Create data models supporting Kalypso digital solutions across Manufacturing, High Tech, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, and Retail industries. Example model themes:
- Demand/supply forecasting
- Risk analysis
- Customer behavior analysis
- Timeseries analysis
- Asset efficiency modeling
- Predictive maintenance
- Multi-dimensional correlation
- Natural Language Processing / Natural Language Generation
- Vision AI / Language AI
- Model benchmarking and technology evaluation (tools, vendors, techniques)
- Build scalable tools to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data using on-prem, cloud, and hybrid technologies – for our pre-configured solutions or on a per-project basis
- Design and implement machine learning and data management strategies (ingest, process, store)
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand their concerns and actively participate in solution design and build. Work with peer Solutions Architects to provide input to solution design, providing Data Science point of view
- Be curious and constantly learn something new to stay on top of relevant technologies

Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Machine Learning model development, training, validation, and application
- Proficiency in mathematical disciplines including linear algebra, calculus, probabilistic models, and statistics
- Data manipulation techniques, including ETL/ETLV
- Experience developing in Java, .NET, and SQL languages
- Experience with R, Python, or Scala scripting techniques
- Experience with data visualization platforms like D3.js, Tableau, Kibana, HTML5, and CSS
- Competency in Graph/NoSQL database techniques, and RDBS platforms like Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Experience using and developing RESTful and SOAP Web Services
- General knowledge of software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.)
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with supplementary experience in Data Science and/or Statistics
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong academic performance
