CARIAN is a women-owned consulting and advisory firm exclusively serving the power, renewables, and utilities sectors. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an energetic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to connect with potential clients and drive opportunities for our consulting services.

This is a contract-to-perm opportunity for a motivated self-starter with a passion for building relationships and generating business opportunities. You will play a pivotal role in identifying prospects, engaging decision-makers, and driving the pipeline for sales presentations and new client partnerships.

 

Responsibilities

 

Prospecting & Outreach:

  • Research target companies and decision-makers to identify qualified leads in the power, renewables, and utilities sectors.

  • Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, email, and phone to initiate contact with prospective clients.

  • Craft personalized messages that resonate with decision-makers and highlight CARIAN’s unique value proposition.

 

Lead Generation & Pipeline Development:

  • Qualify prospects to ensure they align with CARIAN’s ideal client profile.

  • Schedule and coordinate sales presentations, discovery calls, and follow-up meetings for senior team members.

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with potential clients to build trust and long-term business opportunities.

 

Collaboration & CRM Management:

  • Work closely with the business development and marketing teams to align outreach efforts with organizational goals.

  • Track all activity, leads, and progress in the company’s CRM system to ensure transparency and efficiency.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, key metrics, and market insights.

 

Industry Representation:

  • Represent CARIAN professionally at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

  • Stay informed about trends in the power and utilities sectors to tailor outreach strategies and establish credibility.

Compensation & Benefits
