Localization Specialist II - Bilingual Japanese & English (18-Months Fixed Term)

The Pokémon Company International is looking for a Localization Specialist II to translate Japanese game text and documents into English. The role requires a strong appreciation for localization and the ability to adapt to new processes.

Skills

Bilingual in Japanese and English
Strong translation experience
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Experience with gaming and trading card games
Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ)

Responsibilities

Translate and proofread in-game text and documents
Maintain linguistic quality and cultural relevance
Interact with localization team members regularly
Provide cultural input in development meetings
Ensure terminology consistency

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
