Job Purpose :The Global Trade Compliance Manager role is a key contributor for the development and implementation of the vision, long-range plan, strategies and annual plan objectives for Global Trade Compliance (GTC).This role will maintain up-to-date thorough knowledge of international trade laws and regulations applicable to activities of the various business units that govern international trade activities according to agencies such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), US Customs Regulations and Canada Customs Regulations.Develop and implement policies and procedures that support and respond to governing international trade policies to ensure full compliance with US and international regulations regarding import and export of material, information, and technology.Job Duties & Responsibilities :• Facilitate and lead the integration and harmonization of trade compliance best practices among Toro Company brands, collaborating with various business units.• Evaluate and implement systems integration that support GTC activities• Engage with key stakeholders as needed, providing updates and ensuring effective communication on trade compliance initiatives.• Proactively Identifies and lead projects that support future growth of the organization• Lead LEAN initiatives and seek opportunities for LEAN initiatives within GTC• Development and implementation of international trade policies to ensure full compliance with U.S. and international regulations regarding the import and export of material, information and technology for all Toro businesses• Identify, develop and manage duty reduction programs to ensure all claims are accurate and that supporting documentation is maintained• Coaching and developing strong teams to support key people strategy initiatives to support future growth and development• Conduct and create trade compliance training and assesments for all Toro locations and business units• Manages and administers the CTPAT program• Ability to troubleshoot situations of unique and high complexity independently using best practices• Other duties as assignedJob Qualifications :Level I : Bachelor’s of Science or Arts degree in related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of five (5)+ years of experience in International trade is required.Minimum of three (3)+ years of experience in supervising desired.Level II : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.. Minimum of eight (8) + years of experience in international trade is required.3+ years supervising required. Licensed Customs Broker required• Project management experience• Progressive experience in import and export compliance, ideally within the manufacturing industry• Understanding of supply chain management• Demonstrated ablity to analyze and interpert regulations and disseminate information appropriately• Excellent interpersonal, conceptual, project management, decision-making, problem solving and leadership skills required• Strong computer skills (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
