With the leadership of the Manager and the Clinical Supervisor, the Nursing Support Assistant (CNA) performs assigned supportive work in connection with the delivery of patient care, including functional tasks and skills.
The University of Chicago Medicine is designated as a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, meaning the hospital is prepared to handle the most seriously injured trauma patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This unit is a high acuity, fast-paced hematology oncology unit, which is looking for a NSA with attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to multi-task. Prefers 6 months of nursing assistant experience, but willing to hire new graduates from an accredited NSA program. Unit offers self-scheduling, opportunities to work with multi-disciplinary teams, and a friendly culture. Performs activities which support the daily functions and operations of a patient care unit and the healthcare team. Provides constant observation and documentation of activity of assigned patient. Works under the direction of the Registered Nurse in the assigned area.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
