The Data Solutions team aims to shape the future of GBS-NA measurement at TikTok. As a new hire, you will drive consistency and ensure that the Global Business Solutions-North America as a whole is appropriately benchmarking our activities holistically across different products, commercials, and programs. Furthermore, you will work cross-functionally with Strategy, Programs, Commercials, Analytics, Data Science, and Sales Operations. This role requires leveraging modern measurement techniques to institute scalable and comprehensive measurement playbooks that solve and improve the business problems of the Global Business Solutions-North America organization.We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:Monday, May 12Monday, May 19Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)Monday, June 9Monday, June 23We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early.Responsibilities- Form strong relationships with internal teams, including Data Engineering, Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Commercial stakeholders to support the build, adoption, and impact of the Measurement Playbook- Develop and socialize the measurement vision, roadmap, and enablement/knowledge base for stakeholders- Work closely with data engineering and product teams to strategize and execute the development of data products- Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across multiple domains and industries- Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables- Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed for operational systems- Understand customer needs to develop a backlog and ensure measurement completeness- Meet business goals by developing value and creating feasible and sustainable products and solutionsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:- Basic knowledge or coursework in data science, algorithmic engineering, or machine learning- Working knowledge of R, SQL, and Python.- Basic experience with versioning software such as Git.- Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or Domo.- Fundamental knowledge of statistics with some hands-on experience in A/B testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA testing.- Ability to support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests from different business teams.- Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity and passion to understand different business models.- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate technical analysis to various audiences.- Basic written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience or advanced coursework in data science, algorithmic engineering, or machine learning.- Advanced knowledge of R, SQL, and Python.- Advanced experience with versioning software such as Git.- Advanced knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or Domo.- Strong knowledge of fundamental statistics with extensive hands-on experience in A/B testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA testing.- Experience in using business intelligence tools to support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests from different business teams.- Proven problem-solving skills, strong curiosity, and a passion for understanding and navigating different business models.- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and effectively communicate complex technical analysis to a broad variety of audiences, including business executives.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely.- Previous internship or work experience in a related field, demonstrating practical application of technical and analytical skills in a business environment.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
