About The Role
The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for handling a high volume of both domestic and international payables in 3 different currencies (EUR, GBP, USD). The selected candidate must have great attention to detail and be able to interact professionally with external vendors and various internal departments. You will be responsible for activities in accounts payable such as ensuring timely entering of invoices, maintaining accurate records, performing special projects, and completing other analysis as requested by management.
What you’ll do
• Review incoming invoices, check requests, and expense reports for appropriateness and documentation match. Obtain proper signature authorizations, timeline, and account assignment prior to entering in the system.
• Resolve discrepancies in billing and payment (verification of addresses, contracts, terms, and purchase orders). Reconcile bills with receiving reports and other appropriate documents to verify bill is correct.
• Reconcile bank account with General Ledger.
• Maintain accounts payable and file back-up documentation. File paid invoices by vendor name. Files should be kept in an organized manner facilitating retrieval.
• Build accruals at month end for invoices not received yet for cost occurred in the month.
• Assist in answering Auditors Questions.
• Assist with accounting related special projects as necessary.
• Keep track of credit card spend and receipt of expense reports.
• Being contact person with the bank.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year, full-cycle accounts payable experience with a computerized accounting system
• Relevant degree AP Accounting or equivalent level through experience
• Experience with Month End Close
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs and experience in SAP preferred
What you bring:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, any other language is a plus
• Knowledge of Accounting rules for accruals (accrual/matching / conservatism principle) and VAT and WKR compliance
• Strong communication skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Great attention to detail, structured and hands-on mentality
• Strong customer centric approach and good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and flexible with the ability to manage your time effectively and work independently
