Training Content Manager

The Training Content Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs to meet the training needs of end users of a variety of systems. The role is responsible for managing a team of content designers to develop learning and communication materials in a variety of media and delivery methods, including both instructor-led and e-learning to support projects and other initiatives. They will be responsible for identifying areas where additional training may be beneficial due to technological advancements and ensure the end users are capable of using LCS systems effectively.

The Role:

  • Analyzes and identifies the training needs for end users.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct end user system training for LCS IT systems.
  • Research, design, write and produce clear user documentation and other training materials.
  • Deliver instructor-led training in one-on-one, small or large group settings; present information in a logical, accurate and effective manner.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of learning programs and make improvements as needed.
  • Maintain and update user guides when upgrades or new functionality is added, including assisting with user testing.
  • Ensure training is focused on increasing the capability of employees to perform in their job.
  • Work with subject matter experts to obtain and validate course content and apply instructional design theory and techniques for adult learners in the design and development of appropriate, effective curriculum.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to training to maximize benefits to customers and employees, and to meet business objectives.
  • Assures overall quality of the curriculum exceeds customer expectations. This includes all course materials, train the trainers, tools and other resources.
  • Other projects as requested.
  • Attract and retain a great IT team to help LCS lead our industry in marketing and sales.
  • Provide ongoing development and training to ensure our team members have the experience and knowledge to deliver on their responsibilities.
  • Supervise, hire, evaluate and set performance expectations and goals for individual team members.
  • Ensures training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.

Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Education or related field and/or history of continuing education related to job responsibilities or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Experience in systems training is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, maintain productivity and effectiveness in a fast-changing environment with sometimes conflicting priorities; able to prioritize workloads and resources to meet deadlines.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills required.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage projects.
  • Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Technical – possess technical aptitude, technical leadership, can present technical information, confident, can handle complex/multiple systems.
  • Ability to work well independently and with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage to priorities, organize & plan work to satisfy established timeframes.
  • Strong documentation skills.

Job Level: C

Estimated Salary Range: $92,000 - $102,000

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
