Job Description
Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the US (HQ: Chicago, IL). Build and install computer infrastructure, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines in a private cloud environment. Contribute to the design and architecture of software storage. Support, monitor, and maintain software to ensure that it meets recommended system standards. Maintain high-performance systems in multisite environments, creating and releasing updates as needed. Provide support for production issues and assist with remediation and repairs. Create and maintain documentation for all system-related processes and procedures. Technical Environment: LAN/WAN, Cisco Routers, Optical Fiber Network Design, FTTX Network architecture, MPLS networks, ALARM Monitoring, Data Storage Management, Network Analysis and Routi Troubleshooting, Hardware configuration including routers, firewalls, and switches, Power Failure Monitoring, VMware Technologies, including vSphere, vRealize, and vRops, Dell Hardware troubleshooting.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any Engineering field, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in the job offered, as a Network Engineer, or with network architecture required. Specific Skills: LAN/WAN, Cisco Routers, Optical Fiber Network Design, FTTX Network architecture, MPLS networks, ALARM Monitoring, Data Storage Management, Network Analysis and Routi Troubleshooting, Hardware configuration including routers, firewalls, and switches, Power Failure Monitoring, VMware Technologies, including vSphere, vRealize, and vRops, Dell Hardware troubleshooting. Telecommuting Permitted.
