Primary Purpose:*
Treasury Management Consultant (TMC) is responsible for managing and maintaining existing Commercial Clients by identifying new business opportunities, proposing and delivering appropriate Treasury Management products and solutions for new and existing clients who seek a Treasury management Trusted Advisor. The goal of the TMC is to deliver exceptional customer service while employing appropriate risk mitigation processes for the client and the Bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes Treasury Management strategy by identifying new business opportunities across a suite of solutions.
  • Develops and Maintains an active sales pipeline and generates referrals for Internal partners.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals by making in-person sales calls.
  • Increase treasury management fee income and commercial deposits.
  • Develop and execute an effective sales revenue plan clearly outlining consistent activities, tactics and strategies leading to annual sales goal attainment, in coordination with, and in support of the strategy outlined by Director of Treasury Management.
  • Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.
  • Works with internal partners, including Bankers, Business Development Officers and Branch Managers to maintain and grow an existing portfolio.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trusted advisor to recommend and promote Treasury Management solutions to clients/prospects while working within the risk parameters of the Bank.
  • Build and develop strong business relationships with external clients and create account plans for Clients.
  • Provide timely reporting of sales activity and prospective sales opportunities in the Sales Force CRM reporting system used by the Bank.
  • Works with Director of Treasury Management to develop and introduce new Treasury Management products.
  • Coaches and mentors’ commercial lenders, branch managers and business development officers in skills necessary to improve customer calling techniques.
  • Works closely with Treasury Client Services, Sales Associate and Implementation colleagues to ensure smooth transition of requests.
  • Attains both the fee income and Treasury Management sales goals as established by Director of Treasury Management.
  • Conveys a professional, knowledgeable and confident demeanor.
  • Actively engages in mentorship and development of Sales Associate staff.
  • Builds collaborative internal relationships to develop and foster partnerships with assigned Relationship Managers, Bankers, Service and Support and other internal partners.
  • Represent the Bank at various industry events.
  • Participates in Commercial and Branch staff meetings to introduce new Treasury Management solutions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:*
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven outside Business Development skills and knowledge of Small/Middle Market Business required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills along with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven competency in working effectively with peer level and Senior Management where the accomplishment of shared responsibilities is imperative.
  • Effective time management skills through utilization of various types of communication to cover a potentially broad territory which will require travel.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or equivalent education and related training.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of Treasury Management sales and relationship management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering sales results.
  • Exceptional sales and relationship management skills.

Internal and External Contacts

  • Initiates and receives frequent external contacts from customers and industry-related individuals.
  • Participates in non-profit and other community-type organizations as a routine part of the job.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Office environment. Ability to operate computer. Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Ability to travel throughout Bank footprint.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
