Junior Frontend Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Frontend Engineer who likes the challenge of working through customer problems end to end, asking the right questions and pushing our software in the right direction iteratively in a collaborative team to deliver value for our users.


Technologies you’ll work with: We use Vue.JS on the frontend with Typescript, combined with TailwindCSS, Github actions and NPM, Webpack etc. FYI, our backend is an API-first application written in PHP and Laravel.

What you’ll do


Building new features: As part of engineering you’ll use technology to solve our customers problems, working closely with other engineers, the product manager and designer to plan, architect and implement on our new offerings. You’ll iterate with the team and help maintain the codebase, so we can move quickly.


Contribute to the technical foundation: Knowing when to apply effort for an MVP vs building something future proof is how we innovate. Our work today can make our future work better as we aim to build a flexible foundation that we can adapt as we scale.


Collaborate cross functionally: As a frontend engineer, you work closely and collaborate with our designers, so you can focus on development, working together to make sure we solve the right problem.


What you bring on the table

• You’ve been in the middle of the action when a digital/tech-focused company scaled up. We are always balancing the need to move fast and build for the long term, so we’re seeking those who thrive in this environment.

• Javascript/Typescript with any modern front-end framework (Vue, React, Angular etc). Experience with Vue is a plus.

• You are used to converting beautiful Figma or Sketch designs into state-of-the-art and pixel-perfect front-end components.

• You are able to work independently and stand behind your own decisions (not in a hierarchical way, but rather in a critical way).

• You are resourceful. You know what I mean, you're an engineer. On top of that, we aim to divide the knowledge in the team as much as possible.

• An inclusive approach to your work, you are just as helpful and collaborative as us. We have a good thing going on in our tech team and would like a kind person to join us.
