At Trinity Health in Troy, NY, we have an extraordinary opportunity for you to step into the role of a Nurse Advocate for Victims of Crime. This position is perfect for those who are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also driven by compassion and a desire to make a difference. As a Forensic Nurse Examiner, you will be at the forefront of providing delicate care to victims of crime while ensuring that their needs are met through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include being on-call to respond to victims in our Emergency Departments and inpatient units, conducting thorough forensic examinations, and, when necessary, collecting crucial evidence. You'll also play a key role in the justice system by potentially testifying in court if subpoenaed. We believe in the importance of teamwork and communication, so you’ll be working closely with law enforcement and other agencies to advocate for support and services for these individuals in need. To thrive in this role, you’ll need a current RN License in the State of New York and at least one year of acute care experience. Skills in critical thinking and documentation are essential, and experience as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) or Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) is a big plus, particularly for those who can accommodate night shifts. If you’re ready to take on this rewarding challenge with us at Trinity Health, we can't wait for you to apply.
We, Trinity Health, serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.
