Principal Software Engineer - Trust & Safety

Tripadvisor is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and development of the Trust & Safety platform modernization effort. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of business rule processing systems and experience in full life-cycle development.

Skills

Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
Experience with full stack web development in a microservices architecture
Experience with technologies like Java, JavaScript/React, AWS, etc.
Experience in designing and implementing complex software solutions

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of the new Trust & Safety platform in AWS
Own the operational health of the new platform and define SLA/SLO definitions
Build content ingestion and management systems for automating content updates
Work closely with stakeholders to define system requirements and recommend technical options
Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews

Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
