Operating in a dynamic environment, we support multiple projects simultaneously, each with unique requirements and release cycles. JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are seeking a proactive QA Engineer to join our BSaaS team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of multiple projects across the department. You will collaborate closely with developers and project managers to create and execute test plans, contribute to QA documentation, and help refine our processes. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, enhancing your skills and making a tangible impact on our products.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Multi-Project QA Efforts:
    • Perform manual testing across various web and database-centric applications supported by the BSaaS team.
    • Efficiently manage your workload, adapting to different priorities and release schedules.
    • Collaborate with multiple project managers, each focused on specific areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and Maintain QA Documentation:
    • Create and update test cases, checklists, and other QA documentation to ensure consistent testing practices.
    • Provide clear guidelines to improve developer testing quality.
    • Organize and store documentation effectively for easy access and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Developers:
    • Maintain clear and concise communication with developers to align on planned changes, change sets, and affected areas.
    • Help identify potential impact areas and develop appropriate test strategies.
    • Engage in focused discussions to streamline the testing process and enhance efficiency.
  • Execute Manual Testing:
    • Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify bugs and ensure they meet defined requirements.
    • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing as needed.
    • Utilize basic SQL skills for database testing when necessary.
  • Communicate Effectively:
    • Clearly communicate testing progress, results, and any issues to the team.
    • Proactively inform project managers and team leads when your capacity is full and you cannot accept additional testing work for the current release or sprint.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement:
    • Suggest enhancements to testing efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on QA best practices and share knowledge with the team.
    • Actively participate in refining existing processes for better outcomes.
  • Participate in Scrum Processes:
    • Engage in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
    • Align testing activities with sprint goals and timelines.

Skills: 

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual software testing.
    • Experience working on multiple parallel projects simultaneously is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
    • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test plans.
    • Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
    • Nice-to-have: Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and familiarity with C#.
    • Nice-to-have: Understanding of web technologies; experience with .NET, Angular, AWS, SQL, and MySQL is advantageous.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with multiple project managers.
    • Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt.
    • Able to manage priorities and work efficiently across multiple projects.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Open and honest communicator who can clearly indicate workload capacity.
