Sports Social Media Manager - Freelance

As a Freelance Sports Social Media Manager at Two Circles, you will play a pivotal role in driving the online presence and engagement of our clients in the sports industry. We are looking for dynamic individuals who can generate innovative social media content tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Your expertise will help us to maintain a consistent voice and brand image across multiple platforms while delivering engaging content that resonates with sports fans around the world. You will work closely with our internal teams and clients to ensure that social media initiatives effectively support business objectives and elevate brand visibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and manage effective social media strategies to enhance client engagement and brand awareness.

• Develop and curate engaging content focused on sports news, events, and trends, ensuring it aligns with the clients’ goals and identity.
• Collaborate with various internal teams for content creation, project management, and creative brainstorming sessions.

• Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media technologies to deliver best-in-class content for clients.

• Engage with the community by responding to comments and queries promptly, fostering a two-way dialogue.

• Proven experience (2+ years) in social media management within the sports industry.
• Experience of working in a live game experience, in a team or individually, and ability to excel under the pressure of a live environment.

• Strong knowledge of all social media platforms, their features, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and copywriting skills, with a creative flair.
• Ability to work independently, spotting emerging social trends and coming up with original content ideas.

• Must be available to work on evenings and weekends to cover live sports events.
• Experience of using the Adobe suite to edit graphics and clip/edit videos.
• We are looking for candidates who can step in and make an immediate impact. Therefore it is essential that you have working frontline social media experience in at least one of these sports / leagues: NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA, NWSL, NASCAR, MLB, boxing, UFC or MMA.
