At Uncommon Schools, Special Projects Coordinators (SPCs) execute key logistics and provide operational support that enable students and teachers alike to flourish. The SPC is the executor of various school systems including assessments, facilities, student food service, staff & student technology, and event planning. The SPC reports to the school’s Director of Operations (DOO).
As the Special Projects Coordinator, you will own the execution of the following workstreams:
At our larger campuses, we have two or three SPC roles: SPC - Technology & Assessments, SPC - Events, and SPC - Systems. The workstreams for these roles are more specific from the list above, as the titles suggest.

Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $22.85 to $35.19 per hour. Most candidates who meet job description requirements will receive an offer of $22.85 - $24.73 per hour.
Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional development, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools.
* The range above represents our compensation scales for the 2025-2026 school year. If starting prior to June 30th, 2025, compensation will be based on a slightly lower range, reflective of current compensation scales. New hires who fall into this category will see an increase in their compensation starting on July 1st, 2025 for next school year which aligns to the scale above.
