Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. If you’re ready to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape.Key Responsibilities:The Lead Engine Asset Manager is responsible to handle assigned fleet of engines/APUs and to ensure spare availability at point of need and to connect with partners. Additionally, the Lead Engine Asset Manager is responsible to mentor, train, and guide Engine Asset Managers, Sr Analysts, and Analysts. Up to 25% travel is required.• Coordinate development engine tracking and maintenance. To include developing maintenance program and tracking procedures.• Develop and maintain an ongoing, short, and long-range view of issues, both technical and commercial, that could impact the availability of spare engines/APUs• Support workload in United Engine Build-Up (EBU) shops with work instructions and priorities• Provide management for engine hardware and software projects (hardware upgrade/replacement, etc.) to mitigate operational impact• Participate in work scope committee meetings and produce required documentation for engine repair process• Maintain spare engine forecast, ensuring accuracy• Mentor, train, and guide Engine Asset Managers, Sr Analysts, and AnalystsUnited values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table!QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business• Understanding of the challenges of maintaining and tracking Engine stands.• 5+ years’ experience in aircraft or engine maintenance• Knowledge of jet engine maintenance including overhaul events• Detailed understanding of jet engine components• Ability to read and understand maintenance requirements• Strong eye for business• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time• Understanding of the Engine Planning system• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification• Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):• Master's degree or equivalent experience• MBA, MS Engineering• Airframe and Powerplant License• Experience Building forecasts and doing analysis• Experience leading teams through indirect influence• Process improvement experience• Strong organizational and continuous improvement skills• SCEPTRE and EMS experienceUnited Airlines is an equal opportunity employer.
