We continue to research and develop treatments for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, and other orphan diseases.How you’ll contributeThe Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.• Independently perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment• Calibrate and test equipment prior to release to ensure it meets specifications• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with biomedical machines• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations• Collaborate with R&D engineering team to ensure equipment is functioning properly• Maintain inventory of service parts and place orders as needed• Perform all other duties as assignedFor this role you will needMinimum Requirements• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)• 5+ years of experience maintaining and supporting biomedical equipment• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications• Associates Degree in engineering technology or similar field• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician or Certified Hemodialysis Bio-medical Technician• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Good communication skillsAt United Therapeutics, you’ll realize quickly that it is not an ordinary place to work!
