Program Manager 2 - Cybersecurity Center for Advanced Research and Education (CYBER-CARE) - (STA015010) Organization... : H0137 INFO SCI TECHNOLOGY Description Manages the day-to-day operations of a large university program or department, including the supervision of staff employees, student workers, programs or processes. • Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program. • Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis. • Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance. • Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation. • Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities. • May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations. • Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures. • May serve as property custodian for the department. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Job Summary The CYBER-CARE consortium is looking for a full-time Program Manager 2 to work at the University of Houston (UH). This position will provide administrative, research, education, technology transfer, outreach, and marketing support to the consortium. This position directly reports to the CYBER-CARE Director. CYBER-CARE incorporates applied and scholarly research with education, technology transfer and outreach initiatives to promote interdisciplinary activities across both transportation and cybersecurity domains. Additional Job Posting Information • The Position will be funded by the USDOT Tier-1 UTC Transportation Cybersecurity Center for Advanced Research and Education (CYBER-CARE) • The position is on Grant Funding • Please ensure applicant includes name and contact of 3 references (Applicants who do no include references will NOT be considered) • This position will be located at both UH Main and Sugar Land campuses Qualifications Bachelors and 1 year experience Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None. Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in transportation and/or cybersecurity-related research, ideally with graduate degrees (e.g., Transportation, Civil Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, etc.) and published work. • Previous involvement in assessing or accrediting undergraduate or graduate programs. • Experience in education, technology transfer and marketing. • Previous community outreach, engagement, and/or UTC center experience. • Finance and/or accounting experience. Proficiency in graphic design, photography, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
