Experience performing the duties described herein may substitute for the educational requirement on a year for year basis.Work Experience:Intermediate level experience in the use of Windows personal computers, especially Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.1 year experience working with relational and/or object-oriented databases.1 year experience with information systems.Preferred QualificationsHRIS experience in an academic setting.Workday experience, including report creation.Experience gathering and documenting customer requirements.1 year experience creating and maintaining web pages, including familiarity with HTML.Job DutiesValidate worker transactions in the Human Resources Information System (Workday) system in an accurate, timely fashion.Collaborate with KUMC departments and Human Resources (HR) to confirm compliance with university, state and federal policies and guidelines.Collaborate with and educate KUMC departments and HR in data error resolutions, and in utilizing HRIS functionality to meet changing needs.Ensure all new hires are correctly passed to, or exist in, the State of Kansas Sharp database for Payroll calculation process.Assist Benefits team in resolving Kansas MAP Benefits application issues.Collaborate with KUMC I.T. to resolve technical and system issues related to data interfaces between the HRIS and various State of Kansas systems.Assist with duties as assigned to Workday Administrator roles, including but not limited to configuring tables, and correcting candidate, pre-hire, and worker data.Assist with the Enterprise Interface Builder to import and perform mass update of data in HRIS.Assist with the maintenance of HRIS Supervisory Organizations.Create, troubleshoot, maintain, and run reports in HRIS for the State of Kansas, internal departments, and data warehouse staff.Export data from HRIS reports and manipulate data using Excel.Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of core HRIS Human Resource tables, adding and inactivating values.Assist in troubleshooting table value errors and functionality issues.Test HRIS system functionality during phased projects and semi-annual HRIS upgrades.Troubleshoot and resolve HR Process and workflow issues.Manage and maintain the HR websites (internal and public facing) and HR SharePoint site.Assist with gathering and documenting customer requirements, and HR processes.Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of HR policies and practices.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships all levels of the organization in the development or enhancement of existing data, reporting, workflow or integration needs.Liaise with external partners including the University of Kansas, Lawrence campus and other State of Kansas agencies to ensure compliance with reporting and transactional actions.Document and report status of open and completed tasks and projects.Required Documents:Resume/CVCover LetterEmployee Type:RegularTime Type:Full timeRate Type:HourlyPay Range:$28.18 - $42.27Minimum$28.18Midpoint$35.23Maximum$42.27Application Instructions:To learn more and apply online, please visit https://kumc.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/kumc-jobs/job/Kansas-City-Metro-Area/HRIS-Specialist_JR005468 or go to https://careers.kumc.edu/ and search for position number JR005468.Applications must be submitted directly through the KU Medical Center website to be considered for this position.
