As a Venture Capital (VC) Investment AnalystIntern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the investmentteam in evaluating potential investment opportunities and assistingwith various tasks in the VC process.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions & Responsibilities mayinclude:• Conducting market research and industry analysis to identifytrends and potential investment sectors.• Assisting the investment team on sourcing opportunities thatmatch the fund's investment thesis.• Assisting in due diligence processes, including financialmodeling, competitive analysis, valuation analysis, etc.• Supporting the team in preparing investment memos andpresentations.• Monitoring portfolio companies' performance and conductingregular updates.• Collaborating with team members to evaluate startups and assesstheir growth potential.• Participating in meetings with entrepreneurs and potentialpartners.• Contributing to the overall investment strategy throughinsightful research and analysis.• Supporting other operational activities associated with thefirm.Requirements:• Ability to attend weekly Monday investment due diligence teammeetings (remote: 4pm-5pm)• Ability to attend weekly Wednesday Investment Speaker Series(Remote - 4pm-5pm)• Ability to attend weekly Friday team lead investment analystmeeting (Remote - 3pm-3:30pm)• Ability to spend 15-19hours/week on the job• Ability to travel to Salt Lake City or Lehi for periodicin-person meetings, pitch events, etc.• Personal computer or access to a computer.Minimum QualificationsQualifications• High School Diploma, or equivalency• Currently enrolled in a Utah institution of highereducation.• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability toanalyze complex information and present it clearly andconcisely.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently as wellas part of a team.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity withresearch databases and tools.PreferencesPreferred Candidates will have either:• Investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or otherinvesting experience (internship experience counts - especiallyinternships where interns have conducted due diligence forinvestment memos). OR;• Have a deep technical understanding (junior, senior, master's,PhD) in a relevant discipline - advanced manufacturing, aerospace& defense, energy & natural resources, lifesciences/biotech, outdoor products & rec, emerging technology(blockchain, ML, AI, AR/VR, etc.)Special InstructionsRequisition Number: PRN15246NFull Time or Part Time?
