US University Recruiting Lead (Troy, MI)

Your Role
The US University Recruiting Lead will contribute to and implement an integrated early career talent program strategy for Aptiv. You will be responsible for owning stakeholder relationships and partnering with the business to drive hiring and adoption of best practices in hiring early career talent. You will be responsible for university and diversity organization relationships, driving our recruiting strategy and deepening our engagement with Aptiv’s partner schools & associations. You will inspire a team of Aptiv campus ambassadors to lead early career programs that propel our capability, achieve greatness and deliver top talent to the business. Your day to day will consist of the following:
- Strategize and execute Aptiv’s US early career programs (internship, graduate, apprenticeship), including conversion & diversity strategies, headcount alignment, hiring process, timelines, performance tracking and analysis, training campus teams, and continuous improvement
- Coach, consult, and influence business leaders and HRBPs on early talent best practices, processes, and programs to ensure that Aptiv’s early career strategy cascades down to front-line management
- Direct internal campus teams in execution and continuous improvement of university recruiting processes, tools, and technology to identify, attract, recruit and engage early career talent
- Build effective long-term relationships with key university personnel at target universities
- Diversity metrics tracking and analysis
- A continuous evaluation of our target universities for strategic fit, functional, and stakeholder alignment
- Planning and execution of campus events with the plan to establish Aptiv as an employer of choice on campus
- Leverage external benchmarking, internal hiring, and resource planning data to analyze trends, identify and solve potential issues and execute early talent planning and internship conversion processes (NACE, NCES, etc.)
- Align regional processes, drive best practice standardization, promote accountability of metrics and ensure the team is meeting recruitment goals
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Established network in the academic landscape, including relationships with university staff, faculty, and administration
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining consultative, influential, and collaborative relationships with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with HBCUs, HSIs, and national diversity associations such as SWE, NSBE, and Anita B
- Experience using technology solutions such as RippleMatch, Handshake, and WayUp to propel early career programs
- Designed and executed successful campus outreach events
- Ability to deliver high-energy presentations internally and externally to diverse audiences ranging from undergraduate university students to senior executives
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure and navigate through a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Corporate Talent Acquisition in university relations
- 5+ years’ experience working with, designing and executing development programs for early career talent
- 5+ years’ leading staff to high productivity
