Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Upgrade, a fintech company, is looking for a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of data management systems.

Skills

5+ years administering production, always-on, high throughput, OLTP RDBMS on PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in administering PostgreSQL database servers running on AWS.
Advanced knowledge of SQL query execution, execution analysis & optimization, indexing strategies, partitioning etc.
Advanced knowledge of SQL schema modeling and evolution.
Proficiency in various RDBMS replication strategies.
Solid Linux fundamentals including kernel and OS tuning, as they relate to DB performance and security.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support the design, development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of data management systems.
Contribute to the development of standards and procedures to optimize DBMS performance, scalability, resilience, security, and data integrity.
