Senior Business Development Representative

Upwork is looking for a Senior Business Development Representative to prospect for new business, qualify leads, and book sales meetings for the Account Executive teams. The role involves working closely with lead gen specialists, sales AEs, and marketers.

Skills

  • 2+ years of business development experience in professional services or SaaS environment
  • Experience with cold outreach activities
  • Proficiency in technology tools like Zoom, G-suite, CRM tools
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Proven success in achieving sales revenues
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Focus on companies with 250+ employees or 150+ with recent funding
  • Make outbound calls, emails, and social outreaches daily to generate interest in Upwork Enterprise Products
  • Qualify leads and book sales-qualified meetings for enterprise AEs
  • Convert inbound MQLs/MQCs into SAOs
  • Meet monthly quota and activity goals for pipeline generation
  • Conduct high-level qualification conversations with senior executives
  • Drive strategic outreach via calls, emails, and social media to penetrate book of business
  • Ensure opportunities are qualified for successful handoff to AE partners
