Job Summary:Being among the team in USAA is a great thing. This position primarily consists of managing a caseload of low to moderately complex property insurance claims, and it is based in a desk setting as well as a call center environment. Your responsibility in this job will be investigating, evaluating, negotiating and settling claims while ensuring compliance with all state regulatory requirements.Job Duties and Responsibilities:• We must manage assigned claims caseload of low to moderate complexity damages proactively.• The claim damages investigation must use information from diverse sources and point out potential discrepancies or subrogation potentials.• The process of negotiation for settlements should be done by parties outside the authority limits.• All necessary documentation for each claim file needs to be kept in an accurate way throughout the claim process.• To prepare and manage estimates on property insurance claims you should have knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools.• There may also be times when you are needed to support workload surges as well as catastrophe (CAT) response operations.• The risks that are related to business activities must be properly identified, measured, monitored and controlled against them.Qualifications and Experience:• You should have completed high school diploma or its general equivalency one.)• A minimum 1 year customer service experience or military leadership or construction related industry/insurance experience or experience handling low complexity property claims would suffice .• Xactimate software or similar platforms can help in determining how much has been lost through loss estimation.• Disputes can be resolved effectively through negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills of the negotiators.
