Utility, Security, and Receptionist (Part Time, Chicago)

The Kind of Work You’ll be Doing:

• Greet visitors as they arrive and connect them with the appropriate staff member, program, or event
• Clean lobby area throughout the shift, keeping the front desk area clear of clutter
• Provide security and monitor security cameras, addressing any issues that may occur in a timely manner
• Answer phones in a timely manner and direct calls to appropriate staff members
• Check the building and make sure everything is locked prior to setting the alarm
• Assist with event set-up, tear-down, and clean up
• Host groups using the building by answering the door, providing security, and fulfilling their needs as outlined in their building usage agreement
• Clean the building, as assigned
• Represent the ministry and communicate to clientele, volunteers, community partners, ministry partners and financial donors
• Participate, as needed, in the ministry’s seasonal trainings, packing events, donor events, and mission experiences, performing a variety of duties

• High School diploma preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to two years receptionist experience preferred.
• Training in security is a plus.
• Must be pass a background check
