As a UX Researcher you will create and maintain our UX research repository, conduct qualitative benchmarking, research best in class user experiences to integrate standards to Popular, and bring the findings to life by turning them into insights, journey maps, personas. You will craft high quality deliverables on time by innovating in the way we present interaction, deliver information, and increase customer satisfaction, paying great attention to detail. Your articulated recommendation will empower to data, personalization, product, content, and marketing teams to produce best in class customer centric experiences. The role must understand and adhere to the Agile methodology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Discovery and initiative definition
- Identify research needs and optimal methods to inform product teams, client teams and designers on omni-channel digital experiences.
- Effectively partner with internal and client teams to ensure above-standard, rigorous and ethical research practices are followed.
- Ability to work with partners and data from product management, design, engineering, and analytics to help teams find answers and generate revelatory insights.
- Ability to teach others about User Experience Research
UX research support on initiatives
- Define, propose, execute, and report on various UX research methods, including contextual inquiry, competitive analysis, usability testing, surveys, card sorts, tree tests, heuristic evaluation, product concept validation, and other techniques you will help define.
- Lead the planning and moderation of in-person and remote user testing sessions and interviews.
- Synthesis expertise—ability to get to surface fresh insights and opportunity areas from research.
- Ability to challenge traditional assumptions about UX Design and Research – seeking out, inventing, testing and sharing new directions and technologies.
Documentation
- Synthesize research results and identify design issues and opportunities impacting usability; partner with designers and product teams to ensure findings can be interpreted into solutions.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in an easily consumable format.
- Identify tools, templates and document formats to present insights
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working with a design system, in a related field, such as UI/UX design or product design.
- Distinctive problem solving and analytical thinking
- Demonstrable experience with the development of innovative new technologies and features
- Ability to spot emerging trends
- Ability to think conceptually and translate ideas into action
- Hands on experience with databases, SQL Web Services
- Experience with machine learning and relational databases is a plus
- Ability to prototype visualizations is a plus
- Ability to fluently speak, read and write English and Spanish
