Entry-Level Accountant/Bookkeeper

Title: Contract Entry-Level AccountantLocation: Chesterfield, MO (Hybrid)Salary: $22-27/hr.Vaco is working with a growing organization in need of an Entry-Level Accountant to join their finance team.Position Overview: As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will work closely with their accounting team to support various accounting functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited accounting experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional environment.Responsibilities:• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy and completeness.• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing financial data.• Support the preparation of tax filings and compliance reports.• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.• Internship experience preferred but not required• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.• This is an interim/contract position, yielding 40 hours/week
