• **HR Generalist***• **Onsite in Manhattan, NYC***• **12 months contract (Possible extension/conversion)***• **Up to $45/hr. on W2***Must Have:• Five (5) years or more experience in Human Resources.• Education Four-year college degree, or equivalent experience in HR• Experience with HRIS (input, update, reports, etc…)About the role:In partnership with the VP, HR, the HR Generalist's (HRG) responsibilities will include the planning, development, implementation, and administration of all areas of human resources including, benefits, compensation, leave management, worker's comp, employee relations, organizational development, and records management/legal compliance. With a strong and dedicated emphasis to change management including but not limited to performance management, disciplinary/corrective action, change, and staffing management and analysis.The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful leader with a transparent and creative leadership style who values, promotes, and represents diversity and inclusion in all that they do. Having the ability to present ideas and inspire others to think through solutions is essential. Moreover, the HRG will understand the business and the culture and thrive in a highly collaborative environment where sifting through ambiguity and creating clarity by introducing systems and processes to improve workflows is one of their passions.Responsibilities:• Act as a trusted advisor and resource to cast, crew, and production leadership.• Support and communicate the culture, mission, and vision of the company to align employees and effectively and efficiently meet business goals and objectives.• Conduct complex investigations covering a wide range of issues and manage complex employee relations issues including recommendation and implementation of corrective actions.• Analyze current HR practices, identify improvement opportunities, influence management, build consensus, and implement change to achieve company's vision and goals that are aligned.• Make recommendations and influence decisions regarding HR issues that are in the best interest of the company, including but not limited to: on-boarding, off-boarding, headcount management, training & development, performance management, sensitive employee relations issues, compensation, time-off (including leave management), union relations, implementing processes including record keeping and overall, ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and any other employment-related legislative requirements.• Manage a New Hire Orientation/onboarding program for hires and interns to ensure that the process is informative, fun and welcoming (to include start paperwork, benefits overview, tour, introductions, overview of company policies and perks etc.)• Manage the strategic, tactical, and day-to-day administrative tasks surrounding the HR support of up to 150 employees.• Counsel employees in matters such as employment issues, various leaves (PFL/FMLA etc.), career coaching and disciplinary issues.• Leverage analytics reporting to review trending data to help with employment, staffing, and career development decisions.• Run and distribute various monthly reports and Ad Hoc reports to production leadership as needed.Qualifications:• Five (5) years or more experience in Human Resources.• Education Four-year college degree, or equivalent experience in HR,• Organization Development, or Communications desired.• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).• Excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills.• Strong leadership, relationship building, problem-solving, and influence skills.• A "hands-on" Manager with a sincere interest in people, processes, and contributing to a true service organization.• Exceptionally strong organizational development and employee relations skills with experience in coaching and mentoring at all levels of an organization.• Demonstrated ability to balance employee advocacy with business objectives.• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.• Demonstrated understanding of state, federal, and local employment laws.• Knowledge of Benefits and Leave Administration.• Demonstrated skill in group presentation of ideas and written proposals.• Experience working with labor organizations and/or union environments.• Basic knowledge of the production environment.• Experience with Human Resource Information systems (input, update, reports, etc…)
