We're seeking a Design Assistant (Remote) 

People residing in Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm EST

Language: Fluent written and spoken English (C1/C2)

THE ROLE

You’ll have success here if you value clear processes and feel qualified to do the following:

  • Create detailed technical drawings and visualizations based on specifications provided by architects and engineers.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and provide drafting support throughout the design process.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce high-quality visual representations of designs and concepts.
  • Ensure all drawings meet relevant industry standards and are compliant with local regulations.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for each project.
  • Stay current on new drafting techniques, tools, and software to enhance personal and team productivity.

Our projects may include other related tasks, this is not the final job description. The specific tasks will vary depending on the client and the exact JD.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • C1/C2 English writing and speaking skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Architectural design roles, preferably remote.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work, with a commitment to producing high-quality drawings.
  • A quiet home office with a desk and office chair.
  • Stable internet with at least 10 MBPS download & 2 MBPS upload speed.
  • A laptop/desktop with 8GB RAM, a 1.6GHz processor, and 50GB of free hard-drive space, a headset, and a smartphone.
  • Access to a backup place of work in case they suffer a power cut or internet failure, as well as a secondary backup internet option (mobile hotspot, Multibam, WiPod, etc.).
  • Our pay rate: $5/hr (approx $840-880/month).
  • Ongoing pay increments at each work anniversary.
  • Discretionary client bonuses (over 80% of our clients award significant end-of-year bonuses to their team members).
