Dockmaster Software is currently looking for a Sales Executive to join our team in North America – (EDT time zone preferred)!

DockMaster is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive with experience in hospitality sales, particularly within the marine industry. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, closing, and bringing in the right deals that align with our software and company goals.

The ideal candidate is a strong closer with the ability to build solid relationships across the organization, ensuring alignment between sales, product, operations, and customer success. We are looking for someone who is growth-minded, strategic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Here is a little window into our company: DockMaster Software pioneered the marine management software industry, deploying DockMaster®, the first marine management system, in 1983. The product line was expanded to include a cloud-based version for those clients interested in the ultimate flexibility and convenience. We continue to bring innovative and user-friendly products to the marine and marina industries by designing customer-focused solutions. DockMaster helps marinas, boatyards, and boat dealerships gain control of their operations by providing a complete and integrated system with which to manage all daily operations. From the time customers book a reservation or sign an annual lease, we track the customers'​ history right down to their ship’s store and fuel purchases. Employee time can be tracked on the upcoming DockMaster Mobile App; time, labor comments, and job details are automatically synced with DockMaster. DockMaster's dealership and boat yard software includes prospecting, unit sales, service, inventory management, and much more. With the industry's only applications programming interface, DockMaster integrates with a number of popular technologies that help dealers, marinas, and boat yards exceed their customers'​ expectations.

DockMaster Software was acquired by Valsoft and now operates under the Aspire Software portfolio. Aspire Software, the operational arm of Valsoft Corp, which operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere on the East Coast of the US, working in a remote work model!

What your day will look like:

Sales and Business Development

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities within the marine industry
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including marine owners, operators, and management groups
  • Ensure that each deal aligns with the company's long-term strategy and software capabilities
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with prospective clients to drive revenue growth

Team and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (product, customer success, and implementation) to ensure a smooth sales-to-onboarding transition
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across the company to support a team-oriented sales culture
  • Provide feedback from prospects and customers to help shape product development and marketing strategies

Market and Industry Expertise

  • Stay informed on hospitality and marine industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to position our software effectively
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, demonstrating deep industry knowledge and consultative selling skills
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads and enhance the company’s presence in the market

Sales Process and Growth Mindset

  • Maintain a growth-focused approach, continuously seeking ways to improve sales performance and exceed targets
  • Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics in Salesforce or CRM software
  • Regularly analyze and refine sales strategies to enhance conversion rates and customer acquisition

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, with a strong background in hospitality sales, ideally in the marine industry
  • Proven ability to close deals and drive revenue while maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Experience working with SaaS or hospitality software solutions is a plus
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Growth-minded, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-moving sales environment
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools to track sales activity and pipeline management
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
