SUMMARY: Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality age appropriate nursing care to patients that is consistent with organizational philosophy, goals and policies and procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate from accredited school of nursing BSN Preferred
BLS
ACLS
Experience: Must have critical care experience in an acute care setting
License: Current New York State Registered Nurse License
Critical Care Certification when eligible
TCAR Certification when eligible
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FACTORS
Physical: Requires compliance with standards of practice for infection control, prolonged standing, walking, or other constant physical movements on routine basis.
Mental: Occasional compensated overtime may impose home and social life inconvenience; even though predictable on most occasions. Regular volume of work and deadlines may impose strain on a routine basis.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regular and routine exposure to a variety of unpleasant physical working conditions and frequent exposure to injury, occupational and /or contagious disease hazards which require standard precautions.
