About the role
Plus is looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our team of Vehicle Technicians who are responsible for fabrication, repair, and installation of our platforms and vehicles.

Fabricate parts by performing various tooling, machining with manual machining equipment and welding.

Utilize CAD drawings to fabricate mechanical and electronic parts.

Assist in performing preventative maintenance on mechatronic equipment.

Work with engineers to diagnose equipment failures, major equipment repairs, rebuilds and installations.

Work closely with our mechanical engineers and external vendors to perform a wide range of tasks on our test vehicles and trucks.

Conduct daily truck inspections and maintenance, including retrofitting the vehicles, installing or modifying the sensors, electrical and mechanical components, and assembling and repairing prototype components.

5+ years experience in machining and safe work practices.

Able to take ownership and complete projects with minimal supervision.

Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electromechanical equipment.

Demonstrated proficiency with manual machining and welding.

Proficient in interpreting CAD/CAM Drawings.

Experienced machining and grinding metal.

Able to work in tight spaces, requiring walking and standing all day, as well as, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize other hand tools and power tools as needed.

Clean driving history.

Knowledge of automotive components, standards and industry best practices.

Working knowledge of automotive cabling and wiring systems.

Practical experience in troubleshooting electrical systems.

Soldering experience.
Annual Salary: $85,000 USD to $110,000 USD
