Job Description

Role Purpose:

The primary role of the Junior Consultant is to support the Sales & Product Teams in maximising and converting sales opportunities into clients. In addition, the team are engaged closely with Account Management and the existing customer base to up / cross sell our solutions and also engage with other Verisk Business Entitles to promote the Sequel Product offering into the wider Verisk client base.

Main Responsibilities:

The main roles and responsibilities of the Junior consultant are outlined below:

  • Support sales executives and account managers with all sales opportunities for both new business and existing business.
  • Support the sales teams with the tender process, including responding to and coordinating the RFI / RFP responses, as well as approaching responses with an analytical mindset, and consideration of how our solution suite fits together from a business and high-level technical perspective.
  • Maintain the RFI / RFP response library, ensuring all product details reflect current features, functions and roadmap, liaising with respective product heads as necessary.
  • Develop responsibility for the solutions, including demonstrations, supporting collateral, demonstration environments and (where required) POC’s.
  • Support Product team with the enhancement of existing products across all solution pillars and development of new products and solutions to market.
  • Support market initiatives & marketing events as required.
  • Adhere to the existing pre-sales process and protocols.
  • Develop pre-sales expertise and communication skills.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • Professional experience of working within the Insurance and/or broking industry, this could be either directly or via a 3rd party vendor.
  • Experience of working with insurance software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ideally some client facing experience.
  • Experience of managing client relationships, running product demonstrations and responding to customer tenders.
  • Some experience of working on sales engagements.
  • Strong documentation skills.
