Position Title: Vice President, Strategy and Governance
Salary: $126,000 – $150,000 per year

Summary of Duties: Support the establishment of key strategic and governance related activities with post trade service providers for the firm and its funds. Connect with internal business partners to facilitate streamlined engagement and enhanced control and risk monitoring with strategic service provider partners. Participate in Request for Information (RfI) / Request for Proposal (RfP) processes for new provider searches, incorporating delivery of management information, reporting to key stakeholders and owning overall coordination of project logistics. Coordinate contract reviews and negotiations on behalf of operational teams, anticipating the funds/firms needs in the future and analyzing the legal and business impact of contract terms in partnership with internal and external legal counsel. Support executive management in detailed fee and commercial negotiation with modeling and reporting to evaluate financial and systemic risks. Partner with senior risk managers across BlackRock to help ensure that provider risks are understood and are consistent with BlackRock objectives and risk methodologies and constraint.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any field, and two (2) years of experience as a TA Financial Control Associate; Client Money Technician; Senior Administrator Cash Management; Administrator; Administrator, Contract Position or related role. Employer will accept a 3 or 4 year Bachelor’s degree. Must also have two (2) years of experience with: working with audit, compliance, legal, risk or relationship management functions; working with OCC regulations and other banking and investment regulators applicable to investment managers and the banking industry; utilizing standard frameworks including SSAE 18 SOC 1, or Risk Control Self-Assessment; working within the asset management industry, including with portfolio management, investment operations, service providers and regulatory environments; and utilizing MS Office. Must have three (3) years: reviewing service provider contracts from a business perspective including fund administration, depositary, custody, or transfer agency.
