Video Production Specialist

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Video Production Specialist to join the Marketing team at our corporate headquarters in Houston, TX.

Do you enjoy creating visual stories with video? Do you plan out the vision, angle, and lighting for a video shoot with ease? Does working with various Team Members, capturing their knowledge, insights and best practices on camera sound interesting? If so, this position might be for you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce, edit and publish effective video-based resources
• Update existing resources to ensure content is accurate and appropriate
• Storyboard and plan video shoots
• Setup staging of video shoots for the best location and equipment for recording video and audio
• Mix sound effects, music and voiceovers for finished video assets
• Coordinate with key Team Members and Subject Matter Experts in the development of new training content
• Animate motion graphics and create visual effects
• Manage multiple rounds of edits/revisions to video
• Incorporate best-in-class animation and title sequences during video production
• Prioritize projects
• Direct on-camera talent on body language, positioning and the delivery of content
• Coordinate and work in tandem with outsourced production companies
• Publish videos to appropriate distribution channels
• Organize and create a video library archive
• Assist in other projects (social media, email, advertising, etc.) when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned based on department and organization needs
• Capable of working under tight deadlines and quick turnaround time on video reviews
• Some travel (25% of time) required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years of professional video capture, audio recording, editing and production experience
• Experience with creating content in new and appealing ways that engages audiences
• Ability to take direction and see projects and tasks through to completion
• Flexible and highly organized, with a strong attention to detail
• Can divide video content into segments for drip campaigns on specific platforms
• Critical thinking and the ability to tell the “why” story with each project
• A strong communicator, with excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills
• Instructional design experience
• Knowledge of SEO and content optimization practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Premier, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and other video capture/editing programs
• Must be responsible, reliable, and accountable
• Able to work independently and efficiently on concurrent projects
• A team player, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships
• Must have an energetic personality and an inquiring, investigative mind
