The video coordinator will be responsible for all video and technology duties related to the women's basketball program. Specific duties include filming or ensuring the filming of all games and practices, video edit and review, film exchange, assisting coaches with scouting/game preparation, serving as point person for head/assistant coach technology issues, participating in permissible aspects of recruiting, capturing and analyzing data, and certain compliance functions. The video coordinator may at times shoot or edit team specific or event highlight video packages.
Essential Duties:
- Video: Film (or oversee other personnel in filming), edit and break down video clips from games and practice in a manner that assists coaches and student-athletes in analyzing both Notre Dame and opposing teams. Coordinate film exchange. Oversee the production of recruiting and highlight tapes. Assist with scouting and game preparation, especially as it involves the use of video. Maintain and procure video equipment and related technology. Shoot or edit team-specific or event highlight videos. Track and analyze statistics.
- Technology: Assist head and assistant coaches with all technology-related issues, including those related to video, cell phones, iPads and laptops. Track and analyze statistics and data related to women's basketball program. Create and manage appropriate databases, including those related to prospects, compliance issues, and statistics.
- Summer Camps: Work with departmental summer camp coordinator to secure dates and facilities for multiple summer camp sessions (including day camp, overnight camps and team camps); advertise summer camps and ensure high attendance at all camps; select and coordinate hiring of camp counselors and officials; attend and coordinate all logistics related to camp sessions. Responsible for all basketball-related aspects of the camps.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (4 yars)
- 1-2 years experience
- Able to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Collegiate or professional basketball playing and /or coaching experience and a thorough understanding of the game
- Strong technology skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of DVSport (or another PC-based editing software)
- Synergy and EZ Exchange, Fast Draw and Fast Scout preferred
- Xilosoft convertors preferred
