Packer Lead

Essential Job Duties• Ensure production flow and maintain team on schedule.• Prepare and Set-up packing equipment, utensils, and materials for pre-production• Monitor product flow through Packing equipment through the finished product• Responsible for allocation and updating packaging material inventory• Assist in preventative maintenance duties through coordination with the Maintenance Team• Monitor Employee lunch breaks and breaks.• Direct and train personnel on safety procedures involving all Packing equipment and materials• Communicate company policies and procedures as well as GMP• Daily assignment and movement of personnel in the Packing area to effectively meet production requirements.• Report any food safety and/or quality issues to the Production Manager immediately.• Perform other duties as required• Cross-train in other areas of the company for fill-in or other assignments when needed.• In the absence of the Packing Lead, the Packing Supervisor will cover his/her responsibilities.Competencies & Skill Requirements• Effective verbal communication skills.• Work in a team environment.• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.• Perform tasks with accuracy and speed.• Proven ability to set priorities, to pay attention to detail, and to manage multiple tasks.Qualifications & Experience• High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years experience• Experience with the Food and Beverage industry preferredSanitation• Sweep floor, wash the trays, and tables, wash carts, short simple conveyor, squeegee the water off the floor, and throw out garbage. wash ross machine, alpaca, metal detector, moving part conveyor, spiral freezer, Adco machineWork Environment & Physical Requirements• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually the entire shift.• Occasionally required to balance or climb.• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
