Job Description

Lead Account Executive, Visa Midwest Sales, is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing sales strategies for Midwest Financial Institutions. This position is responsible for selling issuer payment processing services into financial institutions and negotiating contractual arrangements. The position will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure appropriate communication flows and sustained business relationships.

Potential customers are usually medium to large financial institutions.

 Job Scope

This role is a senior level functional sales member/leader within the sales function. This role is responsible for developing account strategies to increase revenues from existing accounts and win new accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring implementation of annual goals and plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customized account plans to increase sales volume and market share within the financial institution sectors
  • Create new sales and revenue generating opportunities as appropriate
  • Expand existing relationships/partnerships through the selling of issuer payment processing services
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client’s business objectives are met and that the performance metrics of their payment portfolios are maximized
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate contractual relationships with financial institutions for accepting and deploying issuer processing services
  • Continuously review client landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to growing the Visa business
  • Assist marketing and product development in launching new products or expanding the penetration of existing products within current and new accounts
  • Contribute to the development of functional strategy
  • Provide operational or technical leadership within sales
  • Ensure implementation of annual goals and plans
  • Work closely with product management and other functions to understand all aspects of offers being sold to financial institutions and determine sales messages
  • Foster productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization
  • Develop an understanding of the customer's business including payment strategy across all product platforms
  • Actively participate and lead various ad-hoc internal projects as assigned
  • Participate in sales meetings and training activities

 

 

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Extensive industry expertise, knowledge of financial controls and legal impacts of contract management.
  • You have 10-12 or more of years business experience with related sales and client management experience.
  • Proven track record of successful sales and relationship management with proven ability to interact with C level executives within client organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
  • Proven ability negotiating business agreements and aptitude to develop new business partnerships.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 172,200 to 278,360 USD per year, which includes sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
