Role Description
The EU VAS Acceptance Solutions Manager will play an important role in ensuring Acceptance Solutions supports Visa’s aggressive growth targets for Value-Added Services (“VAS”). More specifically, the jobholder will work closely with the EU acceptance solutions post purchase manager to help size the expansion opportunity in key EU markets, support the build of the value proposition, competitor space, revenue growth strategy and acceleration plans for post purchase and other key acceptance solutions. Partnering closely with acceptance solutions specialized sales, finance, RPS, market’s BDs and CS to deeply understand regional nuances for seller-centric VAS products, collate the functional, commercial, and regulatory requirements to localize and deliver products for sale. The role is based in London and reports to the Head of Acceptance Solutions for EU VAS.
The successful candidate must have commercial acumen, data driven strategic thinking, great presentation and interpersonal skill, as well as ability to build fast rapport and credibility. The focus of the role is supporting the expansion of client-relevant VAS acceptance solutions in key EU market, with commercial mindset, with short- and long-term vision and backed by data.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines and will be equally comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders of various seniority level.
Responsibilities:
Post Purchase Solutions:
Supporting the growth of Value Added Services (VAS) post purchase solutions, supporting the strategy/prioritization by gathering both internal and market insights, helping sizing opportunity, identifying new client targets in key EU markets by client and acceleration plan
Support with the creation/design of collateral materials and presentations to showcase the value of our post purchase product
Support sales and account management teams with subject matter expertise on Post purchase solutions, available and in pilot
Provide support on solution proposals for post purchase clients
Develop and maintain a requirements log, detailing ongoing regional requirements
Ensuring all regional asks are supported by a business / revenue case
Gather insights on regional competitive and regulatory intelligence activities to evaluate competitors' activities and implications to inform regional solutions leads decision-making
Maintain close relationships with key merchant business contacts and end-users to proactively solicit feedback on features, functionality, services and future requirements.
Develop education and supporting collateral to enable the launch of ‘sales focused pushes’
Acceptance Solutions:
Support the ongoing Solution Prioritization process for new, proposed initiatives to create fact-based assessments of the product intake and providing recommendations to EU Solutions Leadership
Support the creation of
Support with the creation of dashboards to track and report on solution priorities and acceptance results
Support the strategy thinking with the data input and competitive analysis validation for key products in key EU markets
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Professional:
• Successful candidates should have some experience of working in payments within a product, consulting, or data analysis capacity
• Whilst a bachelor’s degree is preferred, relevant experience will be considered
Technical:
• Strong knowledge on the use of power point, excel and reporting tools
• Preferred understanding of banking and payments systems and processes
• Required sound understanding and experience of the payment management eco-system across the EU region
• Some knowledge of marketing principles, product management and business analysis
• Some experience / knowledge of merchant / acquirer eco system preferred
• Keen interest of emerging payment trends and competitive landscape
Business:
• Ability to interact with senior management, strong communication and presentation skills
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in digging into the detail, understanding data, making recommendations based on the data and using it to solve problems.
• Conducting analysis in liaison with internal and external stakeholders to identify potential improvements to our regional solutions
• Collaborating with product community during design and build to ensure the solution meets regional business needs
• Support with ongoing backlog refinement by ensuring top-priority user stories are fully defined and have a business case
• Support with reporting of key activities for interested internal stakeholders
• Support the preparation and delivery of sales enablement training for the regional market
• Strong analytical, quantitative, commercial, project management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience.
