Sr. Associate Counsel, Corporate Services & Events - job 18 of 25
Visa is seeking a proactive, business-minded lawyer to join its Legal team. The position will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel, People & Corporate Affairs.
The role includes responsibility for supporting the Corporate Services organization in a broad array of areas including real estate, as well as corporate events and communications. The attorney will work closely with other experienced lawyers and compliance professionals and regularly engage with business clients.
Applicants must be skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and challenging but highly rewarding environment, have good judgment and strong analytical, client counseling, and contract drafting and negotiation skills, be self-motivated, and, most importantly, be a positive, intellectually curious, and collaborative team player.
Visa Is Looking For Someone Who Will
Provide legal counsel to Real Estate team with respect to the structuring, documentation and negotiation of real estate transactions, with a focus on North America
Draft, review, and negotiate real estate purchase agreements, leases, subleases, amendments, easements, and other real estate-related legal documents, including construction and design contracts to support Visa’s new construction and remodel initiatives
Provide legal support for the day-to-day management of owned and leased properties
Support development, review and implementation of key corporate services, events, and communications policies and protocols
Support Events team with drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements with suppliers, vendors, and venues related to planning and executing events
Advise on event promotion and communication strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Supervise outside counsel and oversee outside counsel work to ensure delivery of high quality, cost-effective legal services
Support monitoring and reporting of key legal and regulatory trends and developments to company stakeholders
Provide legal review and approval of presentations and other day-to-day work product and content created by the business teams
Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
