Director, Private Pay Market Development

Overview

The Director, Private Care Market Development, is responsible for accelerating the growth of our Private Pay business across New York City, Long Island, and Westchester. Leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives to expand our client base, increase market share, and drive long-term value for VNS Health Personal Care. With a sharp focus on growth and innovation, builds and nurtures high-value partnerships, refine our go-to-market strategy, and optimize referral networks across diverse communities and care settings. Identifies new market opportunities, launches targeted outreach campaigns, and oversees business development efforts aligned with organizational goals.

Accountable for expanding and enhancing our Personal Care portfolio—including Dementia Care—by cultivating new provider and partner relationships, while maintaining and strengthening existing ones. Ensuring operational excellence, will oversee compliant delivery of enrollment and care coordination services and will routinely evaluate the impact of internal and external market forces to inform data-driven strategic decisions.

Compensation Range:$122,300.00 - $164,000.00 Annual

What You WIll Do

  • Identifies and develops new partnerships and referral sources for VNS Health Personal care Private Pay product portfolio for growth in all private pay markets throughout our service area. Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure partnerships are aligned with the operational and financial goals of VNS Health Personal Care.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive strategies to drive revenue growth and geographic expansion in the private-pay home care market.
  • Understands competitive market environment and builds/maintains relationships with external entities to pursue viable business partnerships and provider networks.
  • Cultivates and manages relationships with hospitals, geriatric care managers, elder law attorneys, concierge physicians, senior living communities, and other referral sources.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive market development plans with clear goals and objectives to ensure VNS Health Plans enrollment/retention targets are met.
  • Identifies, negotiates, and establishes partnerships to drive client acquisition and brand visibility.
  • Builds and lead a high-performing business development team; set KPIs and coach the team to exceed targets.
  • Oversees the development of outreach campaigns, lead generation programs, and client conversion initiatives.
  • Provides VNS Health Personal Care senior leadership with summary reports and recommendations based on changes in the market, trends, and challenges. Monitor competitive trends, pricing strategies, and industry shifts to inform business decisions.
  • Leverages capabilities of current and future organization to develop partnerships and referral networks that are beneficial for VNS Health Personal Care and will lead to positive and compliant growth opportunities. Conducts cost benefit and ROI analyses to support business investment decisions.
  • Participates in the development of the annual enrollment budget for this market, working with senior leadership to develop annual volume goals. Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and pipeline updates to executive leadership.
  • Evaluates market performance and improves results through a collaborative effort with external partners to address challenges and opportunities. Collaboratively develops and implements strategies for improvement.
  • Works closely with marketing to refine our value proposition and ensure alignment with market demand.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or health administration related discipline or the equivalent required
  • Master's Degree in a business or health administration related discipline or the equivalent preferred


Work Experience:

  • Minimum seven years experience in business development, growth strategy, or sales leadership, preferably in healthcare, home care, or senior services required
  • Proven success in driving revenue growth and market expansion within a private-pay or B2C healthcare environment required
  • Strong network in the senior care ecosystem and experience cultivating referral-based growth required
  • Strong oral/written communication, strategic, analytical and operational skills. Data-driven mindset with the ability to use metrics to guide strategy and decision-making required
  • The ability to manage teams in the field and has experience hiring and managing sales or business development teams required
