Ceribell, Inc. is a medical device company based in California with a primary mission of improving neurological care for emergency and ICU patients. Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for the Marketing function. The role is highly visible and will lead marketing efforts targeting all stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem - payers, and providers. The VP will be responsible for leading the company's strategic marketing efforts, which include developing business area strategies, marketing plans, business insights and marketing analysis, as well as brand development and communication. This position is ideal for applicants with a commitment to improving the financial/revenue cycle performance of healthcare providers while increasing patient access and engagement to care. To succeed in this role, you need to be articulate, accurate, sales aggressive, detailed, and able to build trust and relationships with current and potential clients while demonstrating value. This is a hybrid position in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

What you'll do:

Planning & Implementation

  • Develop and implement the organization's marketing communications, public relations, and growth marketing strategies in collaboration with executives
  • Create a program for integrated customer communications and refine brand positioning
  • Plan, execute, and iterate marketing strategy, responding to data insights in real time
  • Partner with commercial team to define and drive from an integrated growth model that acts as the backbone of our strategic approach to sustainable growth including accelerated new customer acquisition

Organization Development

  • Evolve the marketing organization by managing all marketing functions in the company including demand generation, brand building, field marketing/events, etc
  • Create high-performing teams with a result-driven mindset and a strategic organizational design
  • Build vibrant partnerships at all levels of the organization as a cross-functional leader
  • Determine marketing resourcing needs and manage agency relationships
  • Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Partner with cross functional teams in Sales, Customer Service and Product to drive lead generation and scale

Budgeting & Measuring

  • Produce clear and actionable messaging for internal and external consumption by understanding market dynamics, competitive landscape, and product positioning
  • Develop, advocate for, and manage marketing budgets, and track spending
  • Establish and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the marketing department, and report the results to management and team
  • Maintain comprehensive ROI reporting for all marketing activity through departmental KPIs and respond to data insights in real time
  • Continue to scale our demand generation while improving our levels of predictability

What you will need to be successful:

  • MBA in marketing or business development, preferred
  • 8-10 years of demonstrated high level of achievement in Marketing/Sales in medical device, medical supplies or consumer healthcare, preferred
  • History of strong personal development as well as key employee development and retention
  • Proven track record in business development with experience in managing multiple, simultaneous new product launches
  • Conceptual, strategic planning and analytical skills with demonstrated product line success and growth
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire vision through oral and written communication
  • Creative, innovative, resilient and problem solver
  • Travel required 25%+
  • Candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area
