Summary:As a Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in providing accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysisBudgeting and Forecasting:• Develop annual operating budgets in collaboration with department heads• Monitor budget performance and variance analysis• Prepare forecasts to support business planning and decision-makingCash Management:• Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds for operations• Reconcile bank statements on a timely basis• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issuesJournal Entries and Accounting:• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate accounting records• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsMonth-End Close:• Close the books on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness• Review and analyze financial results, identifying areas for improvementCost of Goods Modeling:• Develop and maintain a cost of goods model to support financial planning and decision-making• Ensure accurate tracking of inventory costs, labor, and overheadFinancial Planning and Analysis:• Develop and track key financial performance indicators (KPIs) for a multi-faceted brand selling on multiple platforms and wholesale• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementCompliance:• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and reviewsTeam Leadership:• Hire, supervise, and mentor finance team members• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvementQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• CPA designation preferred• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
