We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance Defense with a focus on Medical Malpractice, General Liability, Personal Injury, and/or Wrongful Death claims. This role involves providing comprehensive support to our attorneys, ensuring efficient case management, and maintaining excellent client relations.Key Responsibilities:• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from inception through trial.• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery responses, and subpoenas.• Organize and maintain case files, including document management and tracking deadlines.• Coordinate and prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in the case.• Summarize medical records and other pertinent documents.• Assist in the preparation of case summaries and trial notebooks.• Ensure compliance with court orders and deadlines.• Perform administrative duties as needed, including calendaring and filing documents.Qualifications:• Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in Insurance Defense with a focus on Medical Malpractice, General Liability, Personal Injury, and/or Wrongful Death claims.• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program preferred.• In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and procedures.• Proficiency in legal research and document management software.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant legal software.Preferred Skills:• Experience with e-discovery and case management software.• Familiarity with local, state, and federal court rules and procedures.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Benefits:• Competitive salary commensurate with experience.• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.• Retirement savings plan with company match.• Paid time off and holidays.• Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
