Position Summary...What you'll do...Walmart, a global leader in the retail industry, is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Walmart's ongoing efforts in adopting automation and optimizing our supply chain operations. As an Engineer at Walmart, you'll have the chance to apply your expertise to drive efficiency, improve processes, and contribute to the success of our organization. Join us in shaping the future of retail through innovation and automation!This position is not eligible for sponsorship.Primary Responsibilities• Identify and implement opportunities for defect reduction, waste elimination, and process improvement, to measurably impact First Time Quality metrics and reduce rework• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on process design and improvement• Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to analyze data and perform root cause analysis• Use industrial engineering techniques such as time studies, work measurement, and motion analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization• Lead or support project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and budgetingPreferred Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field• Experience with a Quality Management System• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma• Front line and customer focused; more interested in being on the shop floor than at the desk• Proficient in the use of process mapping, data analysis, and statistical tools (PowerBI, Tableau, BigQuery, Minitab)• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Familiar with manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality management systems• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or project management (e.g., PMP)The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
