We use creativity and design to win hearts, minds, and wallets.We are uniquely positioned as the internal creative agency of record to be hyper-focused on the customer experience across all channels, categories, and campaigns.We are ruthlessly focused on human truths, insight-driven creative strategies and integrated creative solutions that help build our brand and grow the business - not just with ads but through acts.We value talent, diversity, innovation, curiosity, collaboration, culture, insights, and results, and we are committed to helping people - all people - live better.Position SummaryIn this newly created position, the Group Director, Brand will lead distinctive and memorable marketing activations across the full marketing funnel, responsible for direction and creative development for initiatives including Retail Marketing, Brand Marketing and Walmart+ across all channels.This leader will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners to bring business strategies to life, with a lens on creative excellence, diverse talent, craft, creativity, innovation, and collaboration.This leader will play a key role in attracting and retaining top talent, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and inspiring their team to reach their full potential.This position is based in our new creative center of excellence located in Los Angeles.Key Priorities:• Creative direction and development - Work from creative briefs to translate customer insights and marketing strategies into creative execution. Ensure that the expressions of our brand are applied consistently and with excellence across all consumer touchpoints. Deliver unified, best-in-class creative concepts that deliver against established business and brand results.• Team leadership - Direct multiple projects, stakeholders, and budgets within deadlines. Promote the growth and career development of individual team members. Lead cross-functional teams and external agency partners to ensure successful project execution. Establish and maintain clarity and a consistent workflow by conducting regular reviews and meetings with team members.• Relationship building and stakeholder management - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and goals and ensure that our creative work aligns with and supports their objectives. Foster productive working relationships with creative agencies and vendors as needed.• Communication and Influence - Present to senior leadership, influencing business and creative decisions and direction. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices and bring new and innovative ideas to the table to drive the business forward.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in advertising, creative writing, or related field• Experience leading and stewarding marketing for consumer brands• Experience recruiting, retaining and growing diverse talent• Experience managing leaders of people• Excellent creative management skills with the ability to effortlessly meet deadlines on multiple projects with varying timelines• Experience working in a fast paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment• Experience collaborating with cross discipline marketing leaders• Experience pitching ideas that articulate a strategic approach• Self-starter: takes initiative and shows continuous growth• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• A positive team player with an optimistic, enthusiastic attitude who's able to collaborate with and influence peers to overcome obstaclesPreferred Qualifications:• Minimum of 15 years of creative leadership experience• Experience operating in a complex, matrixed organization• Experience building marketing campaigns and activations across the full funnel• Experience with omni-channel retailerBenefits & Perks:Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
