Overview:

The Sr. Photo Art Director, Campaigns will support the Walmart Creative Studio in photo/video execution for marketing/brand/seasonal campaigns that translate across multiple channels including 360 full-funnel paid, social, digital, email, site, print and in-store. Our ideal candidate must be a strategically minded problem solver, conceptual thinker and able to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. They should be organized, detail-oriented and exhibit outstanding creative judgement.

In this role, the Sr. Photo Art Director will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of product & lifestyle campaigns (toys, pets, baby, services, hardlines & more). They will lead pre-production, creative planning, on-set art direction and post-production in addition to managing other photo art directors. This role requires experience collaborating with other team leads within creative (incl. on-set freelance team) & cross-functionally using a blend of strong leadership and hands-on creative expertise.

  • Photoshoots: Work independently to lead, plan and execute shoots from concepting through final file delivery.

  • Collaboration:
    • Pursue ways that we can work better, faster.
    • Manage projects that are on-brief and polished, mitigating feedback, ultimately keeping workstreams on track.
    • Work cross-functionally with internal creative, production and freelance teams to bring all aspects of the shoot together.
  • Quality Assurance: Consistently incorporates visual ID guide best practices, colors and standards for brand and seasonal connectivity, attribution and impact. 
  • This position will oversee quality by making selects on final images, creating post-production notes, and reviewing imagery after final post-production work and before delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, advertising, or related field and 10+ years art directing photoshoots for digital application.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing creative process and conceptual thinking.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard creative tools and software including Capture One, the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and connect across Walmart Creative Studio.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
